Dr. Alex Cahana specializes in Web 3.0 transformation, in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDE). He is a founding partner at ImpactRooms, a Blockchain and Healthcare Expert for the UN/CEFACT, a Board member at AdanianLabs Africa and ACHA (Americas Continental Health Alliance), a SSA ambassador for GBBC and venture partner at Global Blockchain Ventures, Limitless Ventures and Aquarium Ventures. Dr. Cahana believes in transforming citizens from health service consumers into health and wealth producers.
With over 25 years of clinical medical experience, including the Department of Defense and the Veterans Health Administration, Dr. Cahana combines deep scientific, technological and financial knowledge. Previously Professor and Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine at the University of Washington, Dr. Cahana is an Affiliate Professor in Science, Technology and Health Studies, and has published over one hundred articles.
He is a decorated Officer of the Israeli Defense Forces and received multiple awards, among them – the American Pain Society Center of Excellence; Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) Best Practice; the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Innovation Health Care award; and the University of Washington President’s medal for remarkable leadership, social impact and public service.
